The Coaching Staff at SC Gjøa strongly recommends a recovery routine in order to prevent injuries and also to promote muscle and joint recovery after games and practices. Below are links to two videos. The first is our own "Gjøa Cool Down" video. The second video features Ryan Giggs, who added years to his career by following these methods.
After practices or games, or even on off days, these routines, which use elements of yoga, will really benefit your player! If your player cannot perform this routine immediately after soccer, make sure that at least some light activity is done in order to get the blood pumping to all the muscles.
